Dale Alvin Krug

Dale was born in Silverton, Oregon, to Alvin and Elsie Krug. He passed away in Lake Oswego at the age of 91.

He joined the U.S. Navy after graduating from Silverton HS and could still recite his Naval ID # just days before he passed. Dale married Colleen Riley May 6, 1951 and they celebrated 61 years of marriage until her passing in 2012.

His career included working on the family farm, trucking, marine construction and a ship repair business. Dale got his pilots license in the 1950's and developed a love of aviation. He took Colleen on a trip around the world on The Concorde in 1997, one of their fondest memories. His last flight at the age of 89 was on a Boeing Stearman Biplane, courtesy of Ageless Aviation Dream Foundation. Dale was an outdoor enthusiast -hunting, fishing, golfing and gardening his entire life.

Dale is survived by his son, Jeff (Kelley); daughter, Patti (Don); grandchildren, Allison, Scott, Nicole (Brant) Grant; and great-granddaughter, Maggie.
