Nobuko (Tamura) Fujinaka passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018.
She was born March 20, 1931 in Osaka, Japan to Seiichi and Kikuyo Tamura. She spent her childhood in Osaka and Hikari-city, Yamaguchi Prefecture, graduating from Yanai Girl's High School. She went on to become a childcare worker at a Tokyo orphanage until she met and married Tatsuo George Fujinaka in April of 1963. She then moved to the U.S., where she worked at Anzen Importers/Hiroshi's Anzen in the warehouse and at the front register until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tatsuo George Fujinaka.
She is survived by two children, Hisashi Todd and Mariko (Peter Pommer), who will never live up to how cheerful she was.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., September 22, 2018, at the Oregon Buddhist Temple.
