Sarah Emily Pate

Sarah Emily Pate, a graduate of Arizona State University and the University of San Diego Paralegal School, passed away too soon on June 7, 2019, leaving behind partner, Justin Cornwall and dogs Holly and Zero.  She is survived by bereft parents, Keith and Kathy Pate, grandmothers, Ann Pate and Phyllis Sewell, beloved brother, Benjamin Pate, and sister-in-law, Jennifer Hill.  Sarah is loved and missed by aunts, Rebecca Brown and Kathy Alvarez, uncle Kenneth Sewell, nephew Noah Pate, and niece Charlotte Pate, as well as cousins Sabra Nelson, Samuel Brown, Gabriella Sewell, Calvin Sewell, Andrew Rios, and Bella Rios.  Sarah loved dogs, the beach, horses, country music, purses, and plumeria flowers.  She was loved for her sense of humor, intuitive world view, and unfailing kindness.  A visitation for the family and close friends will be held at Riverview Abbey Funeral Home in Portland, Oregon on Thursday, June 13, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The family is planning a celebration of Sarah’s life later this summer in sight of the ocean.
