Shirley Poli was born on December 20, 1936 in Georgia. She was the daughter of Crystal and Joseph. Shirley was the second eldest of eight children. Shirley graduated from Fayette County High School.
She moved to San Francisco and while working at REA Express, she met Jerry Poli, the love of her life. April 7, 1967 she married Jerry and they had two children, Jennifer and Robert.
Shirley worked in the transportation industry for over 20 years. She was working at CNF Transportation as an executive assistant to the Controller when she retired in 2001.
On October 7, 2019, Shirley died at Fieldstone Cornell Landing from Alzheimer’s. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer; son, Robert; grandson, Samuel; and granddaughter, Anna.
Shirley will forever be remembered for her contagious laugh, beautiful smile, fun-loving personality, her love for her family, friends, animals, good wine and shopping.
A service will be held for Shirley at St. John Fisher in Portland on Saturday, November 9th at 11am.
