Barbara Ann (Hammer) Lottridge

Barbara Ann Lottridge, 70, passed away on March 3, 2023, surrounded by her devoted husband and children.

She was born on August 16, 1952, in Salem, Oregon to Clarence and Peggy Anne (Montgomery) Hammer.

Barbara graduated in 1970 from South Salem High School. After high school, she married the love of her life, Max Lottridge, on February 16, 1971. She embraced the life of a Navy wife as she and Max moved between duty stations. During the next chapters of her life, Barbara worked as an administrative secretary for the government as well as a homemaker raising her two children.

Barbara was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and caring for others. After her children entered high school, Barbara began fulfilling her dream of becoming a nurse. She graduated from the Tidewater Community College nursing program in 1996. Barbara proudly worked as a nurse until her retirement in 2021. 

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Max Lottridge, her son, Justin Lottridge, and her daughter, Jillian Harrington (Jon). Barbara is also survived by her two loving sisters, Susan (Hammer) Shank and Lisa (Hammer) Combs, as well as family and friends.

A viewing will be held Saturday, March 18th at noon, followed by a service of remembrance at 1pm.  Internment is private.

Arrangements are being handled by Riverview Abbey Funeral Home, 319 S Taylors Ferry Road, Portland, OR 97219.
