Bernard "Barney" Giansante

Barney Giansante passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at 94 years old. Barney was raised in Portland and joined the Navy at age 18. He owned and operated the Captain’s Corner restaurant.

An avid tennis player, Barney played until the age 91; he volunteered at St. Vincent Hospital for over 30 years and was an avid gardener.

Barney was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anne. He is survived by his children, Mike, Tom, Julie, Steve, and Matthew; and five grandchildren, Spencer, Abby, Genevieve, Sam, and Raven.

Funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021, at St. John Fisher Church in Portland, Oregon.
