Beverly Hahn Obituary

Beverly J. Hahn (1944 – 2025)

Beverly J. Hahn, beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025 at the Marquis Rehabilitation Center in Tualatin, Oregon after a courageous battle with vascular dementia. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Winfred Hahn and brother Michael. Bev is survived by her brother Greg, sister-in-law Leslie, niece Chelsea, her husband Matt and their daughter Stella. She is additionally survived by her cousins, Kathy Washburn, Nancy Haack, Ty Steinbach Jr. and their families - who will all remember her fondly and with love.

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon Bev attended Hosford Elementary School, Cleveland High School, and graduated from Portland State University. Bev lived her life with energy, passion and grace.  She had an eye for beauty and a soul that found joy in life’s vibrant details - whether in the brushstrokes of her paintings or the rhythm of a perfect dance.  A talented artist, Bev saw the world through a creative lens, finding the wonder in the ordinary and transforming it into something extraordinary.  Bev’s true love, besides her cats, was ballroom dancing.  It was on the dance floor that she felt most alive, moving with elegance, precision and joy.  She competed with great success, earning many honors and later shared her love of dance by teaching others.  To Bev, dancing was not just a pastime - it was a way of enjoying and expressing her deepest self.

Bev was also an avid skier, tennis player and golfer, always up for an adventure and never one to sit still for long.  Her spunky spirit and independent nature made her unforgettable.  Bev brought energy into every room and a deep appreciation for art, nature and connection.

“One thing I ask of the Lord… to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.” - Psalm 27:4

Now, in the presence of eternal light, Bev dances in the radiance of heaven where color never fades, music never stops, and beauty is endless. Bev’s artist’s heart is home at last, rejoicing in the splendor she always saw so clearly in this world.
