Darlene Irene Wingard

With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Darlene Irene Wingard, who left us peacefully on October 27, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on December 13, 1938, in Portland, Oregon, she was the cherished daughter of Howard and Mildred Pinnock. Darlene gave unconditional love, grace, and strength. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, her kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

Darlene had a special love for baking, particularly German chocolate cake and sugar cookies, which she lovingly shared with friends and family during countless gatherings. An avid gardener, she found joy in nurturing her plants and watching them bloom, just as she nurtured the hearts of those around her. Darlene's love for animals was unwavering throughout her life. She shared a special bond with each of her beloved pets, offering them warmth, care, and unconditional love. The companionship they provided brought her great comfort and joy.

Darlene is survived by her loving children, Tim Wingard and his wife Georgina, and Marcia Edens-Honochick and her husband Chris Honochick. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Josh Edens and his wife Danielle, Jimmy Wingard, and her adored great-granddaughter, Sadie Edens, 4 step-grandchildren and 6 great-step-grandchildren. Darlene is further survived by her dear brother, Devern Pinnock, and his wife Joyce Pinnock. She is predeceased by her loving grandson Ryan Edens.These family members were a constant source of joy for Darlene.

A celebration of life to honor Darlene will be held on June 7, 2025 from 1-4pm at 9258 SW 8th Ave Portland, OR 97219 In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to the Oregon Humane Society. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that her love and spirit will live on in each of us. Rest in peace, Mom. You were the heart of our family, and your love will never fade.
