Charles was born August 21, 1931 in New Rockford, N.D. Known as "Whitey" to school friends, he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and graduated from the University of Oregon Dental School in 1960. Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Judith; daughters, Kathy Ivie, Jeanene Wold and Heidi Miller, all of Salem, Kristin Campbell, of West Linn, Andrea Brokenshire of Austin, Texas, Christine White of San Rafael, Calif., and Jennifer White of Lower Lake, Calif.; sons, Charles Wold of Dallas and William White of San Diego; sisters, Dagney Souza and Doris Sanders both of Portland; and 12 grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances to the Friends of City of Salem Senior Center or Parkinson's Resources of Oregon.
