Finn Baskin

On July 29th, 2025, Finn Baskin unexpectedly passed away at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 23. Finn was born in Hickory, North Carolina on June 21, 2002 and was raised in Lenoir, NC. He graduated from Hibriten High School in 2021 and moved to Corvallis, Oregon soon after. 

Finn always had a dry joke at the ready and a comforting hug for his loved ones. He was an inspiring artist who spent his free time sketching and making digital media. Finn was passionate about music and would often be found playing video games and rocking out to the sounds of bands such as Queen, Panic at the Disco, and Tally Hall. 

Finn had a large immediate family that loved him fiercely until his passing. He is survived by his parents Wendy (bonus dad Joe) Hawk and Otto (bonus mom Lycia) Baskin . His siblings include Jessica (Jonathan) Lester, Hailey (Zachary) Dellinger, Emily (David) Ixchajchal, David (Caroline) Baskin, Anthony Baskin, plus bonus sisters Lauren Cain and Joanna Hawk. Finn leaves behind a niece (Abigail) and 3 nephews (Nicholas, Bryan, and Henry). Finn was dearly loved by his maternal grandparents David and LaRue Wright.  

At Finn's passing, he was supported by his fiancée Clair Miotto and their mother Luna. 

Finn was a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent youth. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Trevor Project or your local charity supporting youth in honor of him.
