Jeffrey Clark Miller

Jeffrey Clark Miller died peacefully Dec. 1 2023 at age 83 in Portland, Ore. Beloved husband of Susan Claire Miller (Nee Treadgold) for over 50 years and father to Jennifer and Christopher. Jeff was preceded in death by Susan; as well as his parents Jean Clark Miller (Nee Lacey) and Alex E. Miller; and is survived by Jennifer and Christopher. 

Jeff grew up in north Portland, was an Eagle Scout, and played football for and graduated from Jefferson High School. Although Jeff liked football, his passion was skiing. Jeff spent his college weekends skiing at Mt. Hood's Ski Bowl and Government Camp where he met many of his life long friends. A favorite Government Camp hang out, the Huckleberry Inn, was where Jeff and his friends would warm up after a day on the slopes. Jeff also spent summers working for the U.S. Forest Service and was a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He attended both Portland and Oregon State and would later attend night school to obtain his MBA while raising a young family. Jeff chose to go into hospital administration and worked for Good Samaritan and Tuality Hospital. In retirement, Jeff and Susan would spend their time on Mt Hood, in Sisters, Ore., and at the Oregon coast. When traveling east, Jeff and Susan would visit their favorite east coast city, New York whenever possible. They also enjoyed traveling internationally, especially to Scotland where Jeff and Susan would rent an apartment in Edinburgh, play golf at St. Andrews, and soak up the history. Jeff liked to tell stories, reminisce, loved British and American History, the outdoors, and enjoyed staying in touch with high school friends. He will be missed by all family and friends.
