John (Johnie) Lee Schaubhut of Gladstone OR, went to be with The Lord on September 19, 2021. The celebration of his life will be at Riverview Abbey, in Portland, Oregon on Friday the 24th of September at 10am.
Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, August the 5, 1933 to Roger O. Schaubhut and Pervia Millet Schaubhut. John loved to tell stories of growing up on the back bay of Biloxi, how he and his brother caught fish and sold them to the locals. He was always ready to tell a good corny joke. He never met a stranger in his life.
John served in the US Navy during the Korean war. He was granted an Honorable Discharge on the 9th day of July 1956.
John was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother Paul Roger Schaubhut. He is survived by his wife, Frances Agnes Schaubhut, a sister Anna Belle Holden, a son, a daughter, grandchildren, a niece, nephews, grand and great grand nieces and nephews, and a very special friend Kimberly Steele.
