Kathi was born in Portland, Oregon to Flora Ethel (née Campbell) Iliinsky and Peter Nicholai Iliinsky. Kathi was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School and attended Portland State University, before marrying Carl Robert Winterholler in 1957 , from whom she was later divorced. Kathi and Bob raised three children, spending most weekends skiing on the slopes of Mt. Hood.
Kathi married Hon. William Campbell Snouffer in 1990. She and Bill travelled the world extensively, visiting all seven continents and nearly 100 countries. They enjoyed the history, culture, landscapes, flora and fauna of all their adventures. Kathi and Bill also loved entertaining and filled their home with friends. Until his death in 2021, they shared their love of wine, exotic locations, art and music.
Kathi worked in insurance and import export before finding her true niche as a fundraiser and special events coordinator for non-profit organizations. She served in that capacity for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Christie School, Tualatin Valley Mental Health, Fruit and Flower Child Care Center. Kathi retired from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College after many years,
Kathi also donated to her time and skills to several local organizations including Friends of Timberline, the Pacific Northwest Ski Association, the Portland Zoo, BodyVox Dance Company, Multnomah Arts Center and the Portland Opera. Kathi was proud to have worked on mayor Bud Clark’s campaign.
Kathi is survived by daughter Mardi Katharine Brooke Winterholler; sons Mitchell Robert and Morgan Campbell Winterholler; grandchildren Taryn Allred and Cody Winterholler; great grandchildren Cayden Wiley Allred and Axel Winterholler; and brother Nicholai Peter Iliinsky (Adela Basayne).
A celebration of life will be held at the Goose Hollow Inn on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
