Kent Andre Wong was born in Seattle, WA in 1946. He discovered a passion for design early in life and received a degree in architecture from the University of Oregon. As an architect, Kent worked with colleagues to design and build schools, performing arts centers, hospitals, and high tech projects. In his later years, he was a mentor to architectural interns.
Kent is survived by Carol, his wife of nearly 56 years, his son Travis, two half-brothers—Martin and Clint, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kent enjoyed traveling with Carol to Hawaii, enjoyed all music—especially Hawaiian music, and was an avid reader of all genres.
In his later years, Kent became a Tibetan Buddhist. He believed his death was not an end but a transition—a passage of consciousness.
Kent was concerned that children not go hungry. If you wish to make a contribution, please send donations to the Oregon Food Bank. Oregon Food Bank
