Marilyn Crawford Youngman died peacefully at the Willamette View Retirement Community.
Marilyn Truby Crawford was born to Susan Elizabeth (Truby) Crawford and James W. Crawford January 12, 1925 in Portland, Oregon. She attended Grant High School, graduated from Catlin Gable, and attended the University of Washington. She married Frank N. Youngman Jr., who was serving in the U.S. Navy, in 1944. After the war, they settled in Portland and raised a family. Marilyn was active in the Junior League of Portland, the Portland Art Museum, the Boys and Girls Aid Society and the St. Thomas More Parish, She was a member of the Racquet Club, the Portland Garden Club, and the Multnomah Athletic Club.
She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Frank N. Youngman Jr.; children, Beth Baylin (Eric) of New York City, Frank N. Youngman III (Mary) of Coronado, California, Patricia Smith (Stamford) of Langley, Washington, Marilyn Blick (Andrew) of Danville, California, James Youngman (Kathryn) of Pendleton, Oregon, and John Youngman of Portland; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Susan Long (Mark) in 1992.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests contributions to St. Thomas More Church or Willamette View Retirement Community, both in Portland, Oregon.
Private interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
