Michael S. Killoran was born February 11, 1936 in Portland, Oregon. He attended Grant High School, Lewis and Clark College and the University of Oregon School of Law. Mike was admitted to the Oregon Bar and U.S. District Court in 1962. In 1963 he took a job as the Deputy District Attorney in Pendleton, Oregon and in 1966 was appointed as District Attorney in Grants Pass by then Governor Mark Hatfield. As D.A. Mike had the honor of arguing before the Supreme Court in several precedent-setting cases. Mike was a recipient of the Jaycees Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the community and was also a past president of the Grants Pass Lions Club. He loved visits to the beach and drawing funny cartoons of their dog. Mike was often Emcee at roasts and events and he never forgot a joke. His sense of humor will be missed.
