Patricia Schutzler Obituary

Patricia Ann Schutzler
June 28, 1964 ~ December 16, 2025

Patricia Ann Schutzler, age 61, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, in West Linn, Oregon. Born on June 28, 1964, in Plainfield, New Jersey, Patricia lived a life defined by devotion, faith, and a radiant love that touched everyone she met.

From an early age, Patricia’s passion and enthusiasm shone brightly. Cheerleading was a true love of hers throughout her youth and high school years, and she carried that same team spirit, joy, and commitment into every chapter of her life. She treasured her younger years and early adulthood, especially time spent at the Jersey Shore. Summers were filled with beach days, family gatherings, and visits to her beloved Gram’s house, where crabbing and laughter created lifelong memories. She delighted in bringing her brother along to summer parties when he visited and took special pride in her Uncle Ray’s all-wood boat; so much so that she alone was trusted to drive it.

Above all else, Patricia was thrilled to become a mother. Motherhood was her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment, a role she embraced with unwavering devotion, selflessness, and unconditional love. Later in life, her heart expanded even further as she became a grandmother, cherishing every moment with her grandchildren and finding her happiest days surrounded by family.

Patricia deeply valued time together, whether traveling, enjoying quiet moments, or simply being present with those she loved. She felt most at peace on the water, especially in the crystal-clear waters of the Florida Keys, where she found joy, beauty, and renewal. Spending time with her family was her favorite pastime and her greatest treasure.

Guided by her strong faith, Patricia was an active member of Athey Creek Church. Her faith shaped the way she lived; rooted in kindness, compassion, generosity, and hope. She had a heart of gold and a truly one-of-a-kind spirit. Through her warmth and grace, she made everyone feel seen, cherished, and deeply loved. Her simple sign-off, “XOXO,” perfectly reflected the affection she so freely gave.

Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering faith, resilience, and the joy she brought into every room. Radiant in spirit and devoted in love, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion and inspiration that will continue to guide and comfort all who knew her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Robert McDonald; her brother, Brett McDonald; and her grandmother, Katherine Louise Bassi.

She is survived by her loving husband, Blain Schutzler; her children, Morgan, Connor, Travis, and Alyssa; her mother, Patricia Scott; her brother, Robert; and her cherished grandchildren, Brody, Stevie, Elliotte, Macallan, and Campbell.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization close to her heart.
