It was during a visit home that he met Rebecca and fell in love. In November 1971 Steve was honorably discharged from his service and they were married in 1973. They lived on a farm and made a family with the welcoming of their two daughters, Calypso and Cicily. Steve and Rebecca later divorced yet he continued to care greatly for his daughters to ensure they had a home and were well taken care of. During these travels, Steve found love again when he met Tatiana and her daughter Lena. They were married in Russia in 2004, and Steve enjoyed a bounty of friendships, foods, and culture while residing in Cheboksary, Russia. In 2006 they came to the US and spent their time together in Springfield, Oregon on a farm with cows and ducks. Steve enjoyed the peace and hard work of farm life. In 2017, Steve and Tatiana divorced yet he stayed in the Eugene area. In 2020, Steve relocated to Lawton, Oklahoma filled with Southern hospitality and blue skies. In the later part of 2023, Steve spent his final years living with his daughter, Cicily and his two granddaughters Carley and Chloey, in Portland, Oregon.
