Tija’s sudden death has left her parents, Roger and Ilona and her brother Alex in unfathomable grief. They have been consoled by family and friends, knowing she is now at peace in her eternal home.
She was born in Portland, attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School, St. Mary’s Academy and graduated from West Linn High School. Tija moved to sunny Southern California, but returned to rainy Portland. She often compared the two and the sun won out.
Tija always knew she was loved by her family and leaves her memory in the hearts of her many relatives in the US, Italy, and Latvia. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, generosity, wit, love of animals, and her glorious smile.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Our Lady Catholic Church, 790 A Av, Lake Oswego, OR. It will be live-streamed at ollparish.com
There will be a reception in the church following the funeral mass. The burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 17293 Oak Meadow Lane in Lake Oswego (off of Stafford Rd.) directly following the funeral luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Father’s Heart, 603 12th St, Oregon City, OR, 97045.
