Tim Foley passed away after a short, but courageous battle with glioblastoma. Throughout it all, his sense of humor, glib personality, and quick wit kept friends, family, and his caretakers on their toes.
Tim was a lifelong Oregonian, who loved the natural beauty of his state. He was an avid outdoorsman, who helped pioneer surfing on the north Oregon coast in the 1960s. He loved surfing the earth on Mt. Hood in the winter and fly fishing coastal streams.
Tim was a lifelong student of art and studied other artist’s techniques and styles in developing his own. He was a prolific painter and his use of color and detail in his water scenes were amazing.
Tim retired from a long career in landscape maintenance and delighted in having the best yard on the block, bar none.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Barbara, sisters Tina (Steve, TJ), Barbara (Phil), Becky (Steve), and brother Bob (Julie), brother and sister-in law, Joe and Judy Allen (Joe, Megu), brother and sister in law, Bryan and Susan Gadd.
A celebration of Tim’s life will take place at a later date.
